Due Date :: Giveaway!

Today is the day we were "expecting" little Wesley and WOW, he's already 5+ weeks old!

What a blessing to have spent this unexpected time with him AND to not have to worry about driving to the hospital in this weather! God always has a perfect plan and we are so grateful for his work in our lives.

Snow!

This post is a little late in the making...but last weekend we had our first snowfall of the season and the first snowfall of Wes' life- yay! He and Daddy enjoyed watching it from the window and then we went out on the front porch to get a little taste of the elements- brrrr.

I love snow, but this year we've been taking it easy inside the house...kind of a bummer, but probably a good idea for Wes. I'll admit, it is rather cozy!

Hmm...where is this snow that the weatherman promised?

Why yes son, it's SNOW!

This one was taken Thursday morning. 

Did I mention we're pretty excited about the snow?  We can't wait until next year when Wes will be big enough to play in it ;)

Little Man in a Big Chair

Today Wesley had his one month check up.  Here are his stats:

- Height: 19 3/4 inches (5th %)

- Weight: 7lb 1.5oz (50th %)

- Head: 35 1/4 cm (5-10th %)

I'm so happy he's on the chart- that's unadjusted!  

Murder of Crows

Last week we heard quite a ruckus outside the window...and what did we find?

Legend has it that a stork delivers newborn babies to their home but who knew that in America a Bald Eagle is sent to protect it? Apparently the crows aren't too keen on this idea.

Wesley should feel very safe...look at those talons!

Great Great Uncle Leonard came to visit!

Wes was grateful for such wonderful family that he decided to thank the Lord right then and there!  What a sweet little boy- we thank the Lord for HIM everyday.

Office Party

Tuesday, Dec. 2nd was Jeff's office party AND Wes' first appearance to most of Daddy's co-workers. It was fun, a bit nerve wracking since the pediatrician had said to use our "best judgement" on office parties. Which is why Wes spent nearly all of his time in the Moby (see photo below)!

I was quite impressed by how "into" decking the halls the TNS employees were and even more thrilled that people embraced the craft idea- polaroid ornaments!
