Full Circle Farm

I wanted to share a really cool (why do I feel like a teenage girl saying this?) program that my good friends Mark and Katie told me about. It's a CSA Program (Community Supported Agriculture) where organic fruits and vegetables are delivered to a pick up location weekly (Jeff and I are doing it bi-weekly). This next week will be our third box pick up and we're looking forward to yummy things like jewel yams, hass avocados, thyme and many more varieties of fresh produce. Most items come from Full Circle Farm in Carnation, who actually runs the program, and other items are found on the west coast to cut down on shipping and thus MORE pollution.

I think once things settle down after the wedding I'll have more time to explore new recipe ideas with my fresh food. But for now I'm enjoying creating my own, like the ants on a log seen below. These were made with homemade peanut butter using our Blendtec, dried cranberries, and celery from the farm!

Oh, and one last great feature of this program...you can substitute out items you don't like or even banish them to the "never send me this..." list. It's a custom fit! (BTW, I don't work for this company. I just thought it could be fun to swap recipes with other Full Circle Farmers- since we'd have many of the same ingredients)

Happy Eating!

Jeffrey James Gough...

...is 27 today! Happy Birthday Baby Butt Munch! (ok, I guess the cat's out of the bag, this is my nickname for him)

Jeff- I love you, I really do. And I can't wait to marry you 4 weeks from Saturday. I can't wait to begin our married life together, to build a home, build a family, build my craft room ;), spend time with not only the man I love but my best friend of 13 years. I'm so happy God made us for each other. You are an incredible man and I have so much to learn from you.

Here's a list of things that I admire about you even though they sometimes drive me crazy:

1. you have an incredible ability to relax, even when there's a long list of things that need to be done you always manage to find the time to take a "couch" break
2. you're extremely thorough, in thought and action. you may not clean often but when you do..look out!
3. you never hold yourself to an agenda or over commit
4. you stick with what you like, why take a risk and order something different when you go out to eat?

I know I'm sort of joking on some of these things, but really at the root of them there's truth. You are a laid back, intentional person and those are admirable qualities..you are also:

1. hilarious
2. creative- musically, professionally
3. loyal
4. loving...what a cuddler!
5. in love with me. Am I the luckiest girl in the world?

I hope you have a great birthday and an even better 27th year of life (or is it 28th? since we're not the age until we've lived it?)

Love you!
