My first apple pie!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
And to all the new/young Moms (and there's a lot of you) Happy Mother's Day! I'd love to hear how your 1st M-Day went and what the little ones got you ;)
I'm looking forward to celebrating M-day again tonight with our 2 fabulous Moms (and Dads-you can't expect them to cook for themselves!). We'll be serving lamb with mint/cilantro sauce (thanks Katie for this delicious recipe-maybe when you start your own blog you can post it for everyone), grilled asparagus, couscous, salad...and for dessert? Another pie! This time strawberry rhubarb. Apparently I'm on a pie kick! I've really been enjoying my "America's Test Kitchen" Cookbook that Jeff and I got from his cousin Erina as a wedding gift. (And as a side note- we received some amazing gifts...and I'm waiting to send out thank yous once I have our wedding photos back..sorry for the delay!)
I'm also hoping to post some photos of the house soon...I've been working (not often enough) on getting the craft room in working condition and am excited to share it with you all.

it was delicious, jenny!
Great job! The pie looks amazing. If you need to practice more recipies, just let us know and we'll be more than happy to help taste-test.
I'm impressed with all these pies! And a craft room! I'm so jealous that you have an entire extra room for crafts!! Can't wait to see pictures!

And this time I didn't cheat..I made the pie crust myself.
Last night was a hit. Paula even asked for the recipe..that's when you know it's good.

That's so funny, I made the "America's Test Kitchen" Strawberry Rhubarb pie last week for the first time ever and now I've been craving it ever since...
