Going Seasonal...

So, my computer seems to be working for the moment...but I'm pretty sure it's just a fluke so I wanted to post something ASAP.

We're "going seasonal" over here at the Gough house. Wreaths, porch decorations, centerpieces, scented candles...even our toothpaste! I love the idea of transforming the house 4 times a year. Nostalgia is my favorite emotion (if it's an emotion) and I think it's best triggered by sight, taste, and smell so I'm doing everything in my power to remember this time and also look forward to it again next year with anticipation!

I've been searching for Meyer's hand soap in gingerbread (we had it last year) anyone seen it? I'm afraid they've chosen peppermint as their seasonal scent and it's just WRONG- peppermint is too Christmas-y...but gingerbread can last Oct-Dec. Ugh! If you see it, let me know.

For now I'm just happy I found this Cinnamon Clove toothpaste- it's yummy!

I'm so impressed, Jenny! I'm with you about the seasons, but I must say that I don't have your dedication- same toothpaste all year round, same hand soap, too. Man, I'm boring!

I think Aunt Elena inspires your seasonal decor.

Wow - that is dedication! I didn't get a chance to post on the belly pic earlier - you look great! Can't wait to see you tomorrow!

Jenny - I looked it up online, and it looks like they discontinued the handsoap - sorry. You'll have to go with peppermint :)

BTW - my house smells so good thanks to the applesauce - the cloves does wonders!

I love Tom's toothpaste year round...it's the greatest! I hope your computer get's better, have you thought about taking it to "geek squad" at best buy. It might be cheaper than a new one.

Ilse- you dear! Thanks for looking it up online, even though it confirmed all of my fears. Peppermint? Peppermint?

Brian- we use Tom's all year round...but we usually just stick to spearmint. This is a great change of pace!

Jenny- I'm a friend of Mandy's who secretly stalks your blog. :) You are one of the cutest pregnant ladies ever (oh and btw, Kristen lived on my floor my freshman year at SPU). Just wanted you to know that I've seen the gingerbread Meyer's at TJ Maxx...even comes with the lotion, too. Happy hunting!

I used the G-bread last year, too.

I got mine on drugstore.com -- might be worth checking it out there, too!

I decided to go with Williams Sonoma Pumpkin Spice...I even got the candle! It does smell really great so I feel ok about it.

Thanks for the tips though Robin and Amy!
