I bought Tums today...I think the heartburn has arrived, but it's bearable and for that I'm thankful.

sorry you have heartburn.

I'm trying to place where you were? Katie's? Uncle Leonard's?

Tums never worked for me so my midwives recommended "papaya enzymes"...they worked like a charm and are all natural. Just in case you need another option

wow, papaya enzymes. i'll have to remember that. i use aloe vera juice, which is also natural and really helpful. tastes gross, but seems to be better for your stomach than tums.

Thanks for the tips ladies...the tums seemed to have worked and I actually like the berry ones ;)

Not sure if the heartburn will be a problem...I think I just over-did it at lunch yesterday...a whole pizza with tomato sauce, peppers, garlic, and salami. I shouldn't have eaten so much spicy/acidic stuff.

No heartburn today though!

ha ha my doctor gave me a prescription because those Papaya things were just adding to the heartburn :)..it's called pepcid ac and it has a distinct place in my heart..

yuck. i hate heartburn, i had it with both boys. they say that if you have it a lot the baby will come out with hair. that was certainly the case for me! i'm glad the tums helps though, that seemed to work well for me.
