Mama Needs Some TLC

It's been 13 days...13 days of fever (everyday it spikes up over 101 at some point), 13 days of thinking I might be getting better...better enough to properly cuddle my sweet baby boy (who shakes his head no {not at the correct time}, imitates clapping, gives his mama kisses)...better enough to spend quality time with Jeff {he also shakes his head no, claps, and gives kisses}...better enough to show my best friend a good time on her last week and a half here! Ugh!

I'm going a bit crazy over here and I'd appreciate any prayers or ideas on what might be wrong with me. I'm on my second round of antibiotics and I'm pretty convinced it's not bacterial at this point (but I wish it was so that it could clear up). So, that means it's likely a virus that just needs to run its natural course...but 13 days? Who's heard of someone having a fever that long with relatively no other symptoms?

At any rate, I'm tired and sad and lonely (I've seen people, my Mom came today to help out and it was amazing...but I don't really feel like I can connect when I'm in this fog).

And this weather?! What I wouldn't give to really get out and enjoy it...yesterday Jane and I took her last walk around Green Lake and it completely wiped me out...we stopped twice and then I came home and realized I had a raging fever. I miss Jane :(

Ok, that's it for now...just thought I'd let people know where I'm at since the blogs have been few and far between. Hope everyone is doing much better than I am!

Jenny- I will be keeping you near my heart and in my prayers. I know it must be hard work to be caring for Wesley and trying to fight whatever it is you have come down with!

Love you! If you ever need a movie buddy during the day- I am happy to oblige :0)

Oh man... I was sick for a whole 5 days a couple months ago and I called it my "mini mono" -- so, maybe you have the "medium mono?"

In any event, no fun.

Praying for you!

Keri and I will be sending up prayers for you, here in Boston Jenny. Hopefully there will be sunshine in the morning. Be easy and stay blessed!

Yuck. I HATE fevers. As a mom fevers are impossible. I'll say a prayer for you and hope this is the end! (Sylvia and Ella have been passing the fever thing back and forth for the same amount of time).

Jenny, I hope this virus passes quickly...you've definitely put in your time (13 days is crazy!)! I'm sorry you haven't been feeling well, especially this past week. If there's anything you need (or even that you would like!), please call me...we're around, and would love to help! Being sick as a mom is the worst! Love you, and looking forward to seeing you soon.

I can't believe you are still dealing with the fever. How horrible! I hope you start feeling better soon - the pictures of you and Wes are SUPER cute!

Hope you feel better real soon! Being sick is never fun and not knowing what you are sick with is even worse. Thoughts and prayers going out to you!

Oh no! I had no idea. :( My sister's baby and husband are sick with fevers too, but their doc said that there's no flu around right now. Hmmm. Seems like something's up.

I just hope you feel better soon. Maybe we can commiserate, since my morning sickness sucks and I too am mightily *sick* of not feeling like myself or able to do anything.

Love you, friend. Feel better!

Hi Jenny, Aleah's Mum here. : )
My Momishness is coming out...I wonder too if you have mononucleosis (I had this when I was 20ish and it can totally wipe you out like you have mentioned) or walking pneumonia, these both can also have the fever and tiredness associated with them.

Hope you start to heal soon and feel better...

When I saw that first picture of you and Wesley the tears brimmed to overflowing (my first teardrops in DC I might add) he's so precious and looks older even though I'm pretty sure I was there for that picture.

I miss you and the little bub so much it's kind of ridiculous. Oh, and I miss Wesley, too! (I bet some of you didn't know I call Jeff "little bub" sometimes -- okay so I don't...but I have to try and be funny right now so the teardrops will cease so I can see the computer screen.) I really hope the fever gets out of town really quick so you can get back to enjoying your amazing life. I'm dedicated a fast to you this month...I'll keep you in my prayers!
