We have had a FULL to the brim August and I'm just now downloading our photos from our Canadian adventure. Thank you to Steve & Paula who so generously gift all of us kids with a vacation away together every year. I think we've gotten this whole vacation thing down...gorgeous sites, delicious meals, events for the kids, some rest for the adults....next year I'm hoping to integrate "date nights" for all of the couples- we'll see!
But for now, here are some photos from our time with the big Gough extended family, growing bigger by the month.

A hike! Wesley's 1st (we're just not hiking people) and he did awesome...walking nearly half of the way in...unfortunately he had to be carried the entire way back with a full diaper...

I definitely didn't capture enough on this vacation...I've been feeling so overwhelmed by the idea of picture taking...but you can see more photos from Kristen's point of view here. I also should mention that Jeff and I had one of the best lunches on our nap-time date in the city. We ate tacos and a black bean power bar at Hernande'z so if you're ever in Victoria I highly suggest you go and definitely get the black bean power bar (we accidentally got it instead of the pork and it was a serendipitous occasion.) I totally fell in love with Victoria as a destination vacation spot this trip...an active and beautiful harbor, fun beaches and parks, and a small city with eateries and shops...it's even big enough to have small neighborhoods that you can discover if you just take the time to drive around and explore.I've been happy to be home, but the vacation was just the beginning of our busy August so I have some more posts to share...soon(!)
