Holiday Faces

We've begun a new tradition in the Gough household this year...The Elf on the Shelf...and Wes has really taken to him.  He's named him Peter (pronounced with an English accent that sounds more like Pee-ta) and may not entirely grasp the concept that Peter flies to Santa each night to report on whether Wes has been naughty or nice, returning every morning in some new place in the house.  But I think he's gathered enough about the process to know that perhaps Peter should be slowly cooked in a pot in his toy kitchen, rather than witness all the little mischievous things Wes has planned for this holiday season.  Yep, that's right, on the first night of Peter's stay in our home Wes ran him over to the kitchen, tossed him in a metal pot and promptly pushed the "on" button on his fake electric stove top.

I'm sure Peter had some strong words with Santa, but Mommy and Daddy sure got a good laugh...and then of course a photo shoot ensued...Peter's the one with the pointy hat.

Jeff took these photos..I'm loving the bokeh of the lights on the Christmas tree in the background.
