Likes-Dislikes-Indifferences

My last year of college my friends and I decided to do a photo shoot (wish I had a digital picture to share, maybe someday I'll scan one), anyway, we traded photos (individual and group) and created a scrap book of sorts. Around our pictures we included things like birthday, sign, full name and my favorite portion: likes, dislikes, and things you're indifferent towards. So, in honor of this (we're approaching the 5 year mark ladies!) and seeing others post their own lists as of late, I have decided to come up with a new list that reflects my current tastes.

LIKES:

1. babies
2. home renovations
3. photography (i've recently been called "jenny papparanda" and I rather like it)
cooking (my new found hobby, I hope to post a photo of the pumpkin pie I made for thanksgiving)
4. fine point pens
5. crafting
6. COSTCO (not only shopping, but also getting my photo in magazines and brochures)
7. napping
8. watching medical shows (the real ones with blood and guts), I would have loved to be a surgeon if my hands weren't so shaky
9. giving gifts
10. annual Pepperdine girlfriend reunions (Dallas 2006! Sorry it will be Seattle 2007, again.)

DISLIKES:

1. being forced to do manual labor or athletic drills (the reason I quit basketball my senior year of highschool)
2. swallowing vitamins (i used to be so good at this but I can't seem to figure it out lately and they always get stuck on the back of my tongue. B vitamins are the worst)
3. loud noises
4. work ;)
5. nagging people to do things
6. the texture of melons
7. my pushy nature...i just can't help it!
8. the fact that none of my grandparents are living
9. rain and wind combined
10. feeling lonely

INDIFFERENCES:

1. REI (i never bought into this northwest staple)
2. being a people pleaser
3. thanksgiving meal (paula- yours was wonderful, I just mean in general ;))
4. most music (it's hard for me to find things I like, but you can't go wrong with Christmas music)
5. dessert (i'd much rather have an extra appetizer)
6. the debate about who's smarter...men or women?
7. sending out christmas cards (I think they're nice, I just don't stress myself out about it)
8. electronics
9. sitcoms
10. alcohol

That's about it! I also remembered while doing this that we included what we thought we would be doing in 5 years. Guess what I wrote? That I would be married! And guess what? In April it will be 5 years since I graduated college...I just made it ;)

Now, in another 5 years...I hope to have 2.5 kids ;) I'll keep you posted.

I miss you ladies and wish you all lived a bit closer so we could spend more quality time together. I enjoy our reunions but once a year is not enough! Can't wait to see you in March!

i loved this post, jenny!

i was just telling kyle this morning how much i hate swallowing b vitamins, too. (he's not a fan of swallowing vitamins either--so he just doesn't take them.)

so fun to read your lists!

Liked your post cuz. By the way... you don't have a pushy nature. You have a sweet, honest, directness that I think is wonderful - it makes people feel comfortable.

Jenny--

Since we went to dinner to celebrate your engagement, I've been checking your blog periodically. I love hearing what you're up to, and I already feel like I know you a little better. I'd love to get together sometime for some crafting/ fabric shopping/ girl time.

Hope you had a great thanksgiving!

Thanks for responding to my post..everyone should post a "list" if they haven't already. And I want to encourage those who don't have blogs to start one today!

Loved reading your list Jenny. So you don't like the texture of melons at all? Does that mean you don't eat them?

Hope you and Jeff had a great turkey day...when are you guys able to get together again?

such a fun post...I remember that night we stayed up late at your house in Renton (the night we went to dinner and then you drugged me with that sleeping pill and we slept like angels:)) anyway that night you showed me your old list and I had so much fun reading what you and your friends said...you have such a way of expressing yourself and you are NOT pushy in fact I have always loved how you can light up a room and make everyone feel included!

It was fun to see you last night and that pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving was a piece of art truly!

Love you, Rebekah - I can't leave comments with out a blogger account...I finally got tired of not saying anything and decided to pose as Husband :)
