This is the only port we "tendered" in- meaning we had to take the lifeboats to the pier since there wasn't enough room for the ship to dock.
Jeff really liked this Batman-esque tricycle. He took the photo (happy Bryan?) to research it online later.
Jeff told me he had this Japanese Garden made just for me...I'm not sure if I believe him. Regardless, Jeff needed to get in touch with his inner-spirit after the Batmobile so we spent some tranquil moments by the coy pond.
Wait Jeff, don't sit down....yeouch! Looks like Lamborghini of Monte Carlo doesn't take kindly to loiterers.
Many of the public streets were set up for racing.
Monte Carlo's famous casino
We also took a day trip to Nice and Eze (in France). Above is one of Nice's libraries (better photo here), and below is a typical Eze street. Eze was built up in the hills in response to pirate attacks on the shores- the town is made of stone and the streets are small enough that only 3 people can pass through side by side.

Found it! The Carver One.
Dang! I would be making that exact same face in front of the lambos if I just saw what Jeff saw! Wooooahhh!
We loooove Monaco... glad you guys loved it as much as we did! I'm with you on the pebble-beach thing--Nice's famous beach is disappointingly the same way. Not so comfy!
glad you are having a great time!
I would have liked to see a different angle of the Bat Trike, but... oh well. Can you guys go back real quick?
Jenny! These shots are wonderful. I spent 10 days in Monaco as a slave, I mean, a nanny. The good thing was that we stayed at the Hotel de Paris and had a private cabana at the beach. The bad news is that I was working the whole time and was almost taken advantage of by a yacht broker friend of the family's. My nanny adventures should seriously be made into a book. Oh wait! Someone already wrote one of those. ;)
We DID, however, take an excursion to Eze and I LOVED that town and will go back someday. I still have some of that unique blend of herbs de provence that you can only actually get IN Provence and use it as often as possible.
I love your pictures- and keeping tabs on you guys
yeah! Monoco...Jen & I walked from Nice to Monoco cause we didn't want to figure out how to get a bus ticket!! ha!! what dorks! oh! but we found a nudist colony on the way.
I really feel like I'm traveling again, thanks guys!! I'm living vicariously through you :)
