14 Months of Motherhood
Today Wes is 14 months old and I was remembering that at 14 weeks I did an update on how things were going.
It's funny to see that I thought we were "over the hump" as far as sleeping, showering, quality time for Jeff and I, and generally caring for an infant. Wes didn't even start sleeping through the night until 11 months! But it is amazing how soon you forget that stage when you get a couple of months of good sleep...it's incredible, and I'm happy to report that we're there!
I'm loving being a Mom who isn't always worried about sleeping or breast feeding. Though this stage presents its own challenges it also has some of the greatest rewards. Wesley is becoming a little boy right before our eyes. Answering questions like "how old are you? what does a monkey/fish/owl/dog say?" Standing up on demand, knocking his head when we say bonk! The kid is clearly a genius ;)
And I feel like I have myself back...my own body...that's been hitting the gym a couple times a week...my own mind (lack of sleep can really do a number on your brain)...and some energy for creative things...sewing as well as crocheting, and today I finished my first granny square!
So, all to say, life is VERY VERY good. Thank you God.

You're the best Jenny G! Loved reading this post.
That is such a fun stage. I loved that age with Sean - such a sponge! And I am so jealous about you feeling like you have your body back again! Good for you Jenny!!!
