I'm a Winner!!

I can't believe it actually happened....but I voted on the Handmade Kids Sweepstakes on Etsy (different items from different shops were nominated for specific categories) with the hope that I would win the prize of a $350 shopping spree (thinking there's no way I'll win, I never win). Well, I WON!!! (and it looks like I just barely made the cut- lucky #14)

I'm still in disbelief...but the money is definitely there, sitting in my paypal account. Now I just have to figure out what to buy ;)

Somebody pinch me!

Jenny you always win at shower games, I think your luck is stretching!
Your adorable in your belly shot by the way and in person! xo

oh yeah, i forgot about shower games...I guess it's just the raffle types I'm not too good at. Anything that takes skill, I've got that covered. (kidding)

Oh my goodness!!! You are talented!!! :) CONGRATS!!

This just inspired me to go enter a bunch of contests online...

Shauna...I was thinking..hey, maybe this could be a full time job? I mean, there's plenty of things to win out there...and then you could sell it if you didn't need it/want it/know someone who could use it.

Something to think about...seriously.

Hate to deflate your bubble - you'll be getting a 1099 prize form to include this on your taxes.

Jenny-- your mom is awesome. Her comment made me laugh.

And, friend, if you need help figuring out what to buy, I'm here to help!

mom- you're ridiculous. I guess I'll just have to save $175 to pay the government...but still!

They made a movie about a woman who raised her family on money she won from contests...specifically 25 word jingles she created for products. It's called "The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio" with Julianne Moore and Woody Harrelson...worth a watch.

Congratulations Jenny!
