Last weekend, at the tail end of Jeff's tour, my parents watched Wes while I took a retreat into the hills with a few friends. We enjoyed the natural beauty, the amazing "cabin" overlooking the lake, a craft or two, some homemade pasta, a nap, sleeping in, a quick trip to Leavenworth, and the pleasure of each others company...it was a well needed escape!
An unplanned matching shirt day!
Bucatini arrabiata- yum!

I love these photos Jenny and am so glad that you got a chance to get away with the girls. excited to see what exactly you guys made that last picture is intriguing!
Glad you had a chance to get out and have a good time with some friends....every mama needs that!
As for the last photo, my guess is felted rocks? :)
Ooh, I'm jealous. Looks like fun!
That homemade pasta looks amazing!
What a wonderful mix of autumn's colors in the photo view of the lake! Love it!!!
And...I agree with Pat...that pasta looks super yummy! :)
What are those little fuzzy crafty things? Based on my limited craft knowledge, and constant feline interaction, I would say cat toys. :)
what a great getaway! i love that beautiful first photo of the lake. and i love that you girls made space in your time away to create. very fun.
I miss those girls! (That includes you, too, Jenny :)
Did you think of Princess Di?
Great leaf colour change action.
I thought they were felt eggs, but not sure what the purpose was. Jenny, shed some light!
