Book Report :: Son of a Witch

No pun intended, or is there?

This is the 2nd in the Wicked series...and it's about, you guessed it, the son of the Wicked Witch of the West. And I hate to say it, but the series lost me on this one.

Nothing about this book was redeeming, the characters weren't particularly likable, the plot was boring...I kept thinking it was going somewhere good and then it just ended, very anticlimactic.

I'm going to stop reading this series, enough money has been spent already. (But if someone owned A Lion Among Men, I'd borrow it..I told you, I'm a finisher)

So happy to have this off my "to do" list and blog sidebar!

Speaking of your blog sidebar, How did you put up your "I'm reading" with photos of books. I've been trying to figure it out for awhile now, but I can't find it under the gadgets offered by blogger when I go to my blog layout and click add another element. How did you do it?

I am glad you were able to finish this one, I stopped with Wicked. I have a hard time reading Maguire...ohh well!

I am going to ask to be put on your ''borrow list'' on the Life on Planet Mom book...looks like something I should be reading :0)

I read Wicked recently too...and I can't say I liked it very much, neither I hated it though! I found it strange. It is rough enough for not being a book for children, but also it's a fantasy tale not for all the adult's taste. Anyway, my reading was preparatory to the musical "Wicked" we are going to see in London at the end of February. We always have a London escape plan for musicals' watching once a year... :)

I couldn't find "Son of a Witch" in Italian, so I was tempted to buy it in English...but if you say it doesn't worth the pain...I won't go on with this idea...

Good for you for actually sticking with it though and finishing....I have a tendency to stop all together if a book just isn't doing it for me :P

Don't bother with the Lion one, it's even lamer. Very disappointing. You're welcome. :)

I agree with you on this one. I've picked it up a few times having liked the first one but it has never grabbed me.
Glad to know I'm not the only one.
